Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant to support kitchen operations, food prep, and catering services. You will work in a fast-paced environment, following recipes, maintaining sanitation, and delivering excellent customer service to students and staff.

Includes assisting with inventory, stock replenishment, and setup/cleanup of catering events. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience; a WI driver’s license is not

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1 year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and prepare customer orders in food service, including proper plating and presentation.
• Follow recipes and retrieve recipes from the electronic database.
• Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and safety in all work areas.
• Assist in catering setup, delivery, and event support as needed.
• Provide courteous customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replacements.
