Job summary

American Dining Creations in Columbia, South Carolina is seeking a Catering Event Staff member to deliver exceptional customer service during catering events. You'll assist with preparation, transportation, setup, service, and breakdown, always keeping guests' needs in mind.

Daily duties include setting up dining areas, handling guest questions, coordinating with the team, performing food prep tasks, and ensuring supplies and tableware are ready.

Qualifications

• Prior work in catering, food preparation, food service, and customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of current food health and safety regulations.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs, push and pull heavy catering carts, bend, climb stairs, stand and walk for entire scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

• Setting up dining and event areas per the catering manager's instructions.
• Ensuring all tableware, place settings, serving pieces and décor are cleaned and available before each catering event.
• Perform food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, cutting produce, seasoning, slicing meats, and preparing sauces and salads.
• Loading and unloading food, tableware, and catering supplies on and off catering vehicles and carts.
• Accurately set up tabletop place settings including utensils, glasses, plates, etc.
• Cleaning and storing catering equipment after each event.
• Be prepared to answer guests' catering-related questions during events and address concerns or requests.
• May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.
