Job summary

The Henry Hotel in Dearborn, MI, seeks a Director of Catering to lead the catering team, solicit and book banquet events, and drive guest satisfaction and profitability. The role requires overseeing staff, coordinating functions, and maintaining exceptional service standards across all event spaces.

Responsibilities include staff training, space inspections, contract preparation, and proactive business development to maximize revenue while ensuring a premium guest experience at The Henry.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise and work with Catering staff to solicit and book Banquet and Catering functions, ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Tour and inspect banquet and meeting space daily and report necessary repairs.
• Schedule and assign duties to staff under supervision for efficient catering operation.
• Solicit new accounts and oversee service of group functions once they are in house.
• Prepare monthly forecasts and maintain BEOs, contracts, and related catering documentation.
