Job summary

Compass Group USA at UNC Charlotte is seeking a Catering Cook to prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards and to provide quality service during events-based schedules.

This full-time position requires prior catering or back-of-house experience, with pay ranging from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour. On-site work with competitive benefits and perks, including Instapay through One @Work, is offered. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

• Previous catering or back of house experience required.
• Full-time schedule based on events; details provided during interview.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and maintaining temperatures.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety, stores excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies as required.
• Follows HACCP standards and reports maintenance needs to supervisor.
