Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Catering/Conference Services Manager to coordinate meetings, conventions, and other events booked through the sales department, and to sell meetings spaces, food and beverage, and planning services across Sonesta’s NYC properties.

The ideal candidate is guest-focused, highly organized, and skilled at leading cross-department collaboration with the operations team to ensure flawless event execution and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements include high school degree or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
• 1-2 years hotel sales/front desk experience; Salesforce FDC and Opera are pluses.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook and Word; English reading/writing must be strong; bilingual/multilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Detail and service all assigned bookings, including group rooms and event spaces.
• Maintain room blocks and event spaces per Sonesta guidelines.
• Prepare, distribute and review Banquet Event Orders (BEO); attend daily BEO meetings.
• Assist clients with menu planning, F&B coordination, and room setup.
• Coordinate meetings and communicate needs across departments; lead site visits and off-site presentations.
• Prospect and book new and repeat business to maximize revenue; manage CRM data.
