Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Senior Catering Sales Manager to lead catering revenue growth across our diverse portfolio. You will manage the full sales cycle, nurture client relationships, and design memorable events from corporate meetings to weddings.

You’ll collaborate with Culinary, Banquets, Conference Services, and Operations to ensure flawless execution and maximize guest satisfaction and repeat business. A hospitality background and strong sales instincts are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of catering/hotel sales or event planning experience.
• Knowledge of catering operations, banquet services, and F&B planning.

Responsibilities

• Drive catering sales revenue through proactive activities and client relationships.
• Manage full catering sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and event planning.
• Prepare proposals, site tours, and customized event experiences.
• Coordinate corporate meetings, social events, weddings, and conferences in hotel spaces.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Banquets, Conference Services, and Operations for flawless execution.
• Prepare BEOs, timelines, room setups, catering menus, and operational notes.
• Identify upselling opportunities for packages, F&B enhancements, AV, and accommodations.
• Build relationships with local businesses and planners to generate new opportunities.
• Monitor revenue, booking pace, conversion, and profitability.
• Conduct client meetings and post-event follow-ups to ensure repeat business.
• Maintain sales activity, contracts, and CRM data.
• Stay informed on hospitality and event industry trends.
