$11.50 hourly for Catering / Concessions & Catering Kitchen; $11.05 hourly for Commissary

Position Overview :

The Catering & Concessions Worker is responsible for event setup, transporting equipment and food to the event/game location, serving guests during events, managing sales at concession stands, and breaking down/cleaning up after the event.

Qualifications :
  • 18 years or older; part-time or full-time student at Kent State University.
  • Abide by the hourly work week limit of 28 hours maximum per week in all on-campus jobs combined. For international students, this number is 20 hours per week when classes are in-session, and 28 hours when classes are not in-session (summer, breaks).
  • Follow all policies and procedures outlined by Culinary Services, the Division of Student Life, and Kent State University, as well as all applicable laws.
Other Requirements and Expectations :
  • Attend and complete all required trainings and meetings as scheduled by supervisors and Culinary Services.
  • Dress code includes a black long-sleeve button-up shirt, black dress tie, black full-length dress pants, and black non-slip shoes.
  • Maintain effective communication by responding promptly to emails, texts, and calls.
  • Work flexible hours, including non-traditional schedules, and manage time effectively.
  • Keep a clean, organized, and safe workstation environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and assist with other departmental tasks as needed.
  • Physical activity involves light exertion up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
