OPPORTUNITY

The Produce Clerk creates an inspiring experience for our guests by providing outstanding hospitality, assisting in smooth operations, maintaining product quality, controlling inventory, and supporting our community values.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes guests and assists in the Produce + Floral departments.
  • Creates attractive displays, keeps the area neat, labeled, and stocked.
  • Receives, organizes, and stocks merchandise, ensuring proper rotation and safety of perishable items.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the department and displays.
  • Handles damaged, out-of-date, or spoiled products according to standards.

Qualifications

  • Six months retail and food service experience recommended.
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written.
  • ServSafe Certification and California Food Handler card required within 30 days of hire (Bi-Rite offers paid training).
  • Ability to stand and carry 11-50+ pounds continuously.
