Job Summary

Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure all functions are delivered, served, and cleared timely. Prepares and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the Catering Director. May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Determine workload requirements from catering orders.
2. Meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements; address last-minute changes and resolve problems.
3. Interact with customers and resolve complaints professionally.
4. Demonstrate understanding of menu items.
5. Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions.
6. Assist staff in setting up rooms to specifications.
7. Assemble and deliver food and supplies to locations.
8. Serve food and beverages to guests.
9. Return food, beverages, and equipment to the catering facility.
10. Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance following HACCP standards.
11. Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
12. Follow approved recipes and standards for food preparation.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Must possess or obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit as required by law.
