Job summary

Bon Appétit Management Company is seeking a full-time Catering Captain at Pepperdine University Catering in Malibu, CA. You will coordinate staff schedules and ensure timely service, setup, and breakdown for all functions, with on-site food preparation under supervision.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of catering, banquet, or hospitality experience.
• Ability to coordinate staff and functions with professionalism and efficiency.
• Valid driver’s license may be required; food handler's permit/alcohol servers permit where required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure functions are delivered, served and cleared on time.
• Prepares and serves food at scheduled functions under supervision of the Catering Director.
• Possibly drives a truck to deliver food and beverages to catered events.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and correct serving temperatures per recipes.
