Job summary

US Air Mobility Command at MacDill AFB seeks a role within the Food and Beverages Facilities for the 6th Force Support Squadron. This NAF position focuses on coordinating social events for large groups, coordinating catering services and facility layouts.

Applicants will be evaluated on eligibility, must meet background check requirements (Tier 1), and may need a Food Handler certification. Open to all applicants with relevant experience and ability to comply with standards.

About the position

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Food and Beverages Facilities for the 6th Force Support Squadron, MacDill AFB. .

Performance Standards

Must be courteous and exercises tact when dealing with customers. Works under the supervision of the Facility Manager. Performance is measured based on results achieved, i.e., success of total operations in terms of customer satisfaction at special events and soundness of operations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience

Experience which demonstrates the ability to plan and organize social functions for large groups of people. Experience scheduling special events and arranging for catering services; responsibility overseeing the food preparation or facility layout for group social functions; organizing activities which require coordination of numerous tasks involving cooperation from several sources of services or personnel. Experience that provides knowledge of formal protocol for high-ranking dignitaries is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Successful completion and adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.
