Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in Knoxville seeks a Category Manager to lead assortment strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive profitable merchandising within assigned categories. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of experience in retail, wholesale or distribution.
Ability to manage conflict and drive quick, fact-based resolutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Execute Category Management and related initiatives within assigned categories.
Manage local supplier and broker relationships to support pricing and assortments.
Communicate with planners, suppliers, brokers, sales, and customer service.
Promote local product assortment and manage supplier negotiations.
Provide input and guidance to Sales Specialists and participate in training.
Drive category initiatives and support corporate requirements.
Negotiate/secure supplier-funded pricing and Earned Income programs.
Support inventory and promotional activities to achieve business goals.
