Infrastructure Products and Services (IPS) delivers innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality infrastructure solutions across the full Plan-to-Deliver lifecycle, from category strategy and supplier operations through capacity delivery, advanced technology, and site services.Category Sourcing Managers sit at the core of that lifecycle. You will set multi-year category strategies, lead sourcing and negotiation, own the commercial terms and agreements that underpin supply, develop and sustain executive relationships across the supply base, and manage supplier performance. Securing supply, optimizing total cost of ownership, and enabling the on-time delivery of critical infrastructure at global scale. You will own one or more categories within Meta's data center power and cooling portfolio, including high, medium, and low voltage distribution (switchgear, transformers, breakers, busway, panelboards, etc.), power generation, air and liquid cooling technologies, modular power and cooling assemblies, and power storage. You will partner closely with engineering, supply chain, and construction to align supplier capability and technology roadmaps across Meta's global data center footprint.Category Sourcing Manager, Power and Cooling Infrastructure Equipment Responsibilities:Define and execute multi-year category strategies for power and cooling infrastructure equipment, including market analysis, supplier segmentation, and sourcing roadmaps aligned to data center capacity growthLead competitive sourcing events, contract negotiations, and supplier selection processes for high-value power and cooling equipment categoriesDevelop and manage strategic supplier relationships, conducting regular business reviews to drive performance improvements in quality, delivery, cost, and capacityAnalyze total cost of ownership across the power and cooling supply base, identifying and executing cost reduction and value engineering opportunities in collaboration with engineering and design teamsAssess and mitigate supply chain risks associated with power and cooling equipment, including geopolitical exposure, single-source dependencies, long-lead-time components, and commodity price volatilityPartner with data center engineering, construction, and capacity planning teams to align sourcing strategies with technology roadmaps and infrastructure deployment schedulesEstablish and track supplier capacity commitments to ensure supply availability supports Meta's global data center build pipelineDrive supplier development initiatives to qualify new sources of supply, expand geographic diversity, and improve supply chain resilience for critical power and cooling categoriesDevelop executive-level reporting and category insights, communicating sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and risk posture to cross-functional stakeholders and leadershipCollaborate with legal, finance, and sustainability teams to structure contracts that reflect Meta's commercial, compliance, and environmental requirementsMinimum Qualifications:8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement for power and cooling infrastructure equipment or related mechanical and electrical systemsExperience leading end-to-end sourcing processes including RFx development, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiation, and contract execution for capital equipment categoriesExperience developing category strategies that incorporate market intelligence, total cost of ownership analysis, and supply risk assessmentExperience managing supplier relationships and driving measurable improvements in supplier performance across cost, quality, and deliveryExperience communicating complex sourcing strategies and supplier performance data to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesFamiliarity with commodity market dynamics affecting power and cooling equipment, including copper, steel, and refrigerant supply chainsExperience sourcing power and cooling equipment specifically for hyperscale or large-scale data center environmentsExperience applying should-cost modeling or value engineering methodologies to capital equipment categoriesExperience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Experience working cross-functionally with data center engineering or construction teams to align procurement strategy with infrastructure design and deployment timelinesDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)About Meta:Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
