Job summary

Sysco Pittsburgh is seeking a Category Manager to support category initiatives, optimize product assortments, and drive profitable growth across designated markets. You will work closely with sales, suppliers, and internal teams to implement corporate category strategies and improve on-hand inventory and pricing.

The role requires 3+ years in retail/wholesale, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong Excel skills to analyze data, negotiate supplier terms, and train OpCo teams on best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in retail, wholesale or distribution.
• Strong Excel skills and supplier negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute category management initiatives within assigned categories.
• Support sales staff with product assortment updates and supplier negotiations.
• Collaborate with planners, brokers, and customers to drive assortment and pricing.
• Monitor inventory and contribute to cost price changes with Revenue Management.
• Lead training and promote local supplier relationships.
