Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a procurement professional to lead cost-reduction initiatives across HR, finance, tax, audit, and risk management. You will analyze spend data, select vendors who provide quality at the lowest price, and coordinate national RFPs for multi-location facilities.

You will develop strategies, maintain purchasing policies, and drive continuous improvement, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to optimize contracts and service levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management and/or Supply Chain.
  • 5–7 years of related experience and training or equivalent combination.
  • ISM CPM/CPIM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cost savings projects across multiple sub-categories.
  • Evaluate and select outside contractors and vendors for quality and price.
  • Analyze spend data and develop strategic pricing plans.
  • Coordinate with national vendors to optimize shipping points and freight.
  • Lead strategic sourcing RFPs and manage vendor relationships.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Full-time associates in role are also eligible for an annual bonus incentive. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, preferably Construction Management and/or Supply Chain degree. Five to seven years related experience and training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements

ISM membership, CPM and CPIM preferred

Proven success sourcing facilities categories for a national, multi-location organization including: managing RFPs, vendor relationships, contract compliance, etc.

Evaluates and selects outside contractors and vendors who can provide quality products and services at the lowest possible prices, ensuring availability when needed. Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability, and prepares market analysis reports. Coordinates with national vendors to determine optimal ship points based on freight costs and usage forecast. Track contract expiration and renewal. Negotiate and implement local, regional and national agreements to support the savings and service goals of the procurement team. Identifies and leads Strategic Sourcing RFPs. Resolves community complaints and solve on-going issues to help drive continuous improvement for Brookdale.
