Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation in Morristown, NJ, is seeking an experienced procurement leader to manage the category strategy for system management and card services. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Business Management, Economics, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum ten years of experience with MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, ERP systems, and project management.
  • Proficiency in SAP/ERP configuration, structures, modules, functionality, data analytics, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of SAP interfaces and changes related to SHAPE SAP Hanna, KG/KW split methodology.
  • Certified Data Analyst or related certification.
  • Strong customer service orientation, leadership, presentation ability, problem-solving aptitude, teamwork, organization, innovation, and analytical thinking.
  • Experience in training, guiding, motivating team members and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs, ensure quality, and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align category objectives with business goals.
  • Monitor market trends, evaluate supplier performance, and negotiate contracts to achieve the best value and service levels.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and risk management within the category to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with SEC, vendors, and related stakeholders to achieve process and efficiency improvements in compliance with mandated policies while mitigating risks and maximizing opportunities.
  • Direct the implementation of actions to achieve sustained efficiency and financial improvements.
  • Manage and maintain the Schindler ZPOC2 Catalog, resolve SAP systematic issues, and ensure current pricing aligns with negotiated values.
  • Lead the Schindler Shape SAP implementation for SEC/TOR within SAP MM and Purchasing, and transition field operations catalog procurement to a Shape solution.
  • Provide impact summaries of supplier price changes and recommend mitigation of cost exposures.
  • Identify under-performing areas in the supply chain and suggest improvements to limit risk and exposures in cost, process, and supplier performance.
  • Communicate potential value-added solutions, deliver measurable value toward supply chain objectives each year, and implement appropriate controls compliant with Schindler ON and/or SEC business needs.
  • Design and implement methods to provide added value analytics to support supply chain management decision evaluation.
  • Lead projects with mid- to senior-level stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement in cost and process.
