Job summary

Electrolux Home Products, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Director for Plastic Components based in Charlotte, NC.

You will own category strategy from budget to execution, develop supplier relationships, and drive cost performance and innovation across cross-functional teams. The role requires a BS in a related field and at least 5 years in strategic sourcing or category management, with strong negotiation and leadership abilities.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant, progressive strategic sourcing, category management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own category strategy for Plastic Components across Budget and strategy definition.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships with focus on cost, quality, delivery, sustainability and risk management.
• Collaborate with Product Line Purchasing and Business Area Purchasing to align requirements with project timing and company targets.
• Manage contracts and supplier performance issues; drive cost improvements and innovation.

Where you'll be:

This position will be based at our Corporate Headquarters located in Charlotte, NC.

About the Role:

Directly reporting to the Procurement Director, Plastic Components, you will be responsible for the category ownership (from budget to strategy definition, from finding cost improvement to following up running business, from scouting suppliers to innovations) for the Plastic Components category.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the business strategically with the objective to leverage, promote complexity reduction, modularization, cost performance and innovation driving and ensuring productivity targets.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and retain strong supplier relationships with 360 degree approach (focusing on cost, quality, delivery, sustainability, risk management, innovation...) and extensive negotiation skills.
• Working in collaboration with Product Line Purchasing and Business Area Purchasing to build and deploy a category strategy that aligns all Product Line and Business Areas requirements supporting new project timing execution and matching with company targets.
• Manage relationships / partnerships with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders in different BA
• Responsible of budget definition and implementation, Cost Model, NOWC optimization, supplier base definition
• Manage and evaluate contractual agreement terms to ensure compliance.
• Address / support resolution to supplier driven performance issues as well as activities on supplier development and improvement projects.
• Strategic approach and open-minded person focus on finding solutions and on continuous improvement
• Strong soft skills in managing relationships with both external and internal stakeholders inside a global environment and at different hierarchical levels
• Great communication skills
• Ability to manage large data sets, and convert to actionable information / intelligence / actions

• Fluent English written and spoken

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Management, or Equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant, progressive strategic sourcing, category management or equivalent;
