Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. in the United States is seeking a Category Manager for Facility and Contract Services Procurement within the Indirect Procurement team, reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement.

The role is responsible for developing category strategies for site services and contingent labor, managing RFx processes, and overseeing global suppliers and contracts to optimize indirect spend. The successful candidate will drive supplier negotiations, analyze spend, and implement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, business, science, engineering or related field.
8+ years of experience in indirect procurement, with focus on manufacturing services, facility services, or contingent labor.
Procurement experience in roofing plant, paving industry, refinery, or manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop category strategy for high-value indirect procurement spend.
Develop sourcing plans and negotiation strategies.
Collaborate with plant buyers and procurement operations to implement service and labor procurement strategies.
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts and renewals.
Align performance metrics with suppliers and conduct reviews.
Identify alternate sourcing options to mitigate risks and reduce costs.
Oversee RFx processes for assigned areas.
Lead process improvements in indirect procurement.
