Executive Leadership Solutions seeks a Category Manager in Boca Raton, FL to lead a category team, set sourcing, pricing, and promotion strategies, and drive market share growth. You will source vendors, negotiate terms, and build programs to maximize gross profit while ensuring optimal product mix across stores.

You will develop strategic marketing plans, monitor category performance, and collaborate with operations to align budgets, forecasts and merchandising. Travel about 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent from a 4 year college or three year related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Extensive MS Office Suite experience including above average knowledge of Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong math skills
• Aptitude with successful negotiations
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• 5 years retail experience in a supervisory role, retail management and/or previous purchasing experience preferred
• Experience with Profit and Loss statement review, budgeting and operating statement review experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to problem solve complex issues; know when to escal
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Strong time management
• High aptitude and resolve to achieve goals
• Ability to negotiate with vendors to meet Category targets and objectives

Responsabilités

• Lead a category team to strategize for market share targets and consumer loyalty
• Source, price and market products to grow assigned department to gross profit line
• Build vendor alliances and programs for long term health of departments
• Negotiate vendor terms such as freight, order minimums, service level and costs
• On a yearly basis, negotiate vendor funding to support marketing and in store merchandising
• Develop strategic marketing plans including advertising, in store specials, promotional and special buys
• Meet category assessment timelines and monitor performance post assessments
• Provide schematics for store layouts
• Gather and analyze consumer data and market information to drive strategy
• Assist in setting sales, gross margin and inventory forecasts and meet monthly budgets
