Job summary

Sysco Raleigh, LLC is seeking a Category Management professional to support the execution of corporate category strategies and initiatives within the OpCo. You will assist sales staff with product assortment updates, respond to inquiries, and deliver training sessions to drive assortment alignment with corporate requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform essential job functions.
• 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in retail, wholesale or distribution environment.
• Strong written & verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute Category Management and other initiatives within assigned categories.
• Support corporate core suppliers and ensure category success.
• Communicate with planners, suppliers, brokers, sales team and customer service.
• Manage local assortment within assigned categories to achieve company goals.
• Negotiate/secure supplier-funded customer deviated pricing and Earned Income programs.
• Provide input and guidance to OpCo Sales Specialist and facilitate corporate assortment training.
• Support inventory depletion and supplier negotiations to return products.
• Drive focus categories and support promotional activities and selling events.
