Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking aCategory Manager to support and drive category initiatives across assigned areas within our distribution network. You will work closely with planners, suppliers and the sales team to optimize local assortment and execute corporate category strategies.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, supplier negotiations, and driving promotional activities while ensuring pricing integrity. Travel around 5% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years experience in retail/wholesale/distribution.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Execute Category Management initiatives within assigned categories.
• Support supplier and broker relationships to achieve company goals.
• Communicate with planners/suppliers/sales team/customer service.
• Promote local assortment to achieve company goals.
• Negotiate supplier-funded pricing and Earned Income programs.
• Assist in training and supporting OpCo Sales Specialist.
