Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) seeks a category management professional to assist with buying decisions and the day-to-day flow of assigned categories (bakery, deli, market, produce and more).

You will develop business by maintaining strong supplier relationships and retail team partnerships, conduct market analysis, help set pricing, source items, and support overall category profitability.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related field and five or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day flow of assigned category with sales, pricing, sourcing and quality.
• Serve as subject matter expert in assigned category and assist stores with category management.
• Negotiate supplier contracts to align product quality and price with standards; resolve pricing/billing discrepancies.
• Review reports to track stock, evaluate item movement, and monitor late POs and OOS products.
• Coordinate advertising and pricing information with vendors and retail partners.
