Job summary

Mars Incorporated in Chicago, IL is seeking a Category Manager for Club & All Other Value to lead category leadership solutions across Mars Snacking, including Chocolate Candy, Non-Chocolate Candy, Gum, Mints, Snacks and Seasonal.

You will apply shopper insights, assortment, pricing, placement, shelving, promotions and merchandising to drive profitable growth, partnering with internal and external teams to deliver category leadership for Club/AO Value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3-5 years of experience in Sales or Category Management in CPG/retail.
• 1 year of business analytics experience.
• Experience with syndicated data software (IRI/Nielsen).
• Experience with assortment planning or space management software (Apollo, Intercept).
• Experience with promotional / non-promotional strategy development.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
• Solid written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Create and plan category leadership solutions that deliver profitable sales growth for Club/AO Value across all business segments.
• Manage and deliver against the Category Captaincy/Advisory process in partnership with Club/AO Value.
• Influence Club/AO Value by identifying opportunities and leading research to deliver category leadership solutions.
• Support Annual Account Business Planning with actionable category insights and solutions.
• Identify research opportunities (shopper, consumer) to enhance category leadership.
• Execute all agreed category leadership solutions with Club/AO Value and measure success.
