Position Overview

The Category Insights Analyst is responsible for assisting with category, business, and financial planning activities within the C&S Category Management function. The analyst maintains critical planning resources and documentation to support the growth of the C&S Independent Grocery Channel.

Job Description

1. Generate, analyze, and communicate key market, category, consumer, and shopper data to inform cross-functional decision-making. Utilize primary and secondary intelligence platforms such as Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, trade journals, and industry publications.
2. Engage with external agency partners (Nielsen, IRI, Advantage, SPINS, Numerator) to ensure real-time understanding of market, category, consumer, and shopper drivers affecting C&S sales and performance.
3. Research and develop competitive market, product, and trade intelligence reports to monitor industry conditions.
4. Maintain a master list of independent stores, including classification, categorization, and location details.
5. Administer the CMCA intelligence portal, managing content, user feedback, and future development recommendations.
6. Provide cross-functional support to Category Development, Category Management, and Merchandising teams.
7. Support project management activities across relevant work streams.
8. Travel required: No

• Office environment with temperature maintained between 65F and 75F.

• Proficiency in MS Office, strong data management skills, excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
