Job summary

7-Eleven seeks a Category Planner to support strategic and financial performance across merchandise categories. As the Business Partner to Category Managers, this role leads financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis using advanced analytics to drive data-backed decisions.

You will collaborate cross-functionally to support assortment, pricing, and promotional planning—ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in retail planning, merchandising, demand forecasting, inventory management, finance, or analytics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and intermediate AI tools; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop monthly and annual category financial plans with cross-functional teams.
• Verify merchandise performance and progress toward financial goals.
• Build mid-month and end-of-month forecasts from historical data and cross-functional input.
• Provide monthly/quarterly/annual performance insights to stakeholders.
• Forecast inventory needs with Demand Chain and identify product performance signals.
• Create executive‑level reports and presentations detailing merchandise performance.
