Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking a Category Analyst to support analytics, reporting, governance, and supplier interactions. Based in San Antonio, TX (relocation considered to Findlay, OH), you will partner with Category Managers and stakeholders to drive data-driven sourcing, contract administration, and performance improvements.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in supply chain or related roles, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with SAP/Ariba, Excel, and Power BI.

Qualifications

Two or more years of supply chain or business experience.
Experience or familiarity with refining/midstream operations preferred.
Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

Analytics & performance reporting: develop and improve category dashboards and metrics.
Category planning: analyze data to support category strategies and sourcing decisions.
Process governance: maintain documentation, templates, and reporting standards.
Supplier performance & risk analysis: monitor metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
Stakeholder engagement: align activities with business objectives.
Contract development & administration: support lifecycle activities and renewals.
Sourcing & project support: assist in sourcing events and evaluations.
