Job summary

Food Lion in Salisbury, NC seeks a Category Merchandising Analyst to analyze a portfolio of Categories, manage item assortment, pricing, negotiations with the Category Manager, and promotional planning.

You will use price optimization software to model scenarios, study category trends, adjust pricing plans to meet financial targets, and collaborate with Shelf Merchandising, Banner Merchandising, and other teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, retail, or related field.
3–5 years in retail, merchandising, pricing, and supply chain.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of category management and vendor negotiations.
Experience with price optimization software preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze a portfolio of Categories and manage assortment, pricing, and promotions.
Collaborate with Category Manager and vendors to optimize pricing and margins.
Review planograms and shelf presentation to ensure standards.
Support cross-functional teams including Merchandising Governance & Planning, Marketing, and Finance.
Assist with vendor negotiations to reduce costs while maintaining optimal mix.
