Job summary

Stop & Shop in Quincy, MA is seeking a detail-oriented Category Analyst to support our Category Management team. You will drive profitable sales through data-driven analysis, vendor relations, and collaborative decisions on shelf presentation and assortment.

The role requires a Bachelor's or equivalent experience, 2-4 years in related fields, and strong Excel and communication skills. This hybrid position offers three days at the Quincy office with remaining days remote, with a salary band

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 2-4 years of experience in Category Management/Merchandising or similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and execution of category plans to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and support cost negotiations.
• Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Category Merchandising & Pricing teams on shelf presentation and assortment decisions.
• Communicate analysis, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
