McCormick & Company, Inc., a global leader in the spice, flavor, and seasonings industry, is seeking a full-time Category Manager on a Consumer Products Division Sales Team. This new hire will work in McCormick's US CPD Sales office, located in Rogers, Arkansas. The Category Manager will report to a Category Manager II.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary responsibility of this position is to lead our category management and shopper insights initiatives with our key strategic customers and provide thought leadership to both our internal & external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understanding industry, consumer and category trends and translating those insights into actionable strategic business recommendations to achieve both McCormick and customer goals and objectives
Providing analysis and shopper insight driven recommendations against all key business drivers, and leading presentations related to category business reviews, assortment & space optimization, promotion & pricing effectiveness, and trade efficiency.
Leveraging all the analytic tools available to identify customer opportunities
Developing collaborative partnerships with key strategic customers so that McCormick is viewed as the category leader in providing flavor solutions and category recommendations for the categories in which we compete.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or other related field
5+ years Sales/Marketing experience, with a minimum of 2 years of Category Management experience within a CPG company
Familiarity with the Category Management process, and strong knowledge of syndicated and panel data (IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, etc.) as well as utilizing space management software (Apollo, JDA ProSpace, etc)
Knowledge and experience working with customer POS data systems (dunnhumby, Retail Link, etc)
Strong analytic skills, and demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable business recommendations that deliver positive results
Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, with the ability to analyze and understand the data and then effectively communicate those insights to both internal and external audiences
Ability to react quickly and complete tasks in a timely manner to meet deadlines
Ability to work in cross-functional teams, self-motivated and team oriented
