Position Summary
Handles all types of catastrophe property claims with independent discretion, and assists in daily property claims when not deployed for catastrophe response.
Duties and Responsibilities
Engages with policyholders, assesses damages, and manages claims efficiently, including setting reserves, estimating damages, negotiating payments, and supervising independent adjusters when needed. Maintains documentation and ensures compliance with legal standards. Attends training to stay current with legal and industry developments. Provides operational support for assigned field offices and maintains company assets like the Sprinter Van.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least five years of claims handling experience, including two years in property claims, with strong technical knowledge of structural damage repair. AIC certification and proficiency with estimating software (preferably Symbility) are preferred. Valid driver’s license and good driving record are mandatory. Must reside within the territory unless approved otherwise. Willingness to respond to catastrophes on short notice with travel exceeding two weeks is required.

Regular lifting/moving of 0-20 lbs and 20-50 lbs; ability to move over 50 lbs with equipment; frequent driving; occasional pushing/pulling; manual data entry; accessing heights.
