Position: Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator

Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Reports to: Branch Manager

Summary/Objective

The Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator performs physical activities requiring strength and flexibility, handles equipment and materials, and operates vacuum trucks safely and efficiently in compliance with DOT laws.

Responsibilities

1. Operate and set up equipment following training, guidelines, and safety procedures.
2. Follow all safety policies, including wearing personal protective gear.
3. Work safely around heavy machinery in hazardous environments.
4. Manually clean and repair valves, hoses, pumps, and other equipment.
5. Assist in maintenance, cleaning, and organization of equipment and work areas.
6. Participate in load outs and unloads, returning equipment and PPE as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience driving an 18-wheeler
• Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions
• Ability to drive a manual transmission truck
• Possession or ability to obtain TWIC and Medical Examiner’s Certificate
• Pass pre-employment and MVR screening
• Willing to travel and respond to emergency calls 24/7
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds, and work in all weather conditions
