Commonwealth University Libraries in Bloomsburg, PA, is seeking a Temporary Cataloging Librarian to perform original and copy cataloging, maintain the online catalog, and collaborate with faculty and staff. Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience directly related to cataloging.
• Knowledge of Library of Congress and Dewey Decimal Classification systems and Library of Congress Subject Headings.
• Finalists must successfully complete an interview, which may include a cataloging demonstration.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
• Prior academic library experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform original cataloging and/or classification of print and/or non-print materials using OCLC.
• Perform complex copy cataloging.
• Maintain the online catalog database.
• Collaborate with other cataloging faculty and staff.
• Stay informed about current events in the library profession relevant to responsibilities.
• Participate in liaison responsibilities with academic departments as needed.
• Cooperate with librarians and staff in other duties as directed by the Director of Commonwealth University Libraries.
