Job summary

The Comforted Kitty is seeking a part-time cat sitter to provide in-home visits in Riverside, CA area. You’ll care for cats while clients are away, with flexible scheduling and you set your own availability as an independent contractor.

Responsibilities include feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, sending updates and photos via our app, and following care instructions. Weekend and holiday availability is especially valuable.

Qualifications

• Cat care experience, especially in pet sitting.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Strong written communication.
• Comfortable working independently in clients' homes.
• Smartphone with reliable internet & camera.
• Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids).

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home cat sitting visits for feeding and water refreshment.
• Clean litter boxes and maintain cat’s environment.
• Offer playtime and companionship tailored to each cat.
• Send visit updates and photos through our app.
• Follow each client’s care instructions and emergencies protocol.
• Possibly bring in mail/packages and adjust home needs as requested.
• Administer medication within experience and comfort level as needed.

Part-Time Cat Sitter — Riverside, CA Area

Do you love cats and enjoy working independently? The Comforted Kitty is looking for reliable, responsible cat lovers to provide in-home cat sitting visits while clients are away.
This is a flexible, part-time independent contractor position where you set your availability and service area, and we match you with clients. It’s a great fit if you want meaningful, independent work caring for cats, helping pet parents travel with peace of mind, and building trust with repeat clients.

What You’ll Do

Cat sitting visits may include:

• Feeding cats and refreshing water
• Cleaning litter boxes
• Giving playtime, affection, orcompanionship based on each cat’s personality
• Sending visit updates and photos through our app
• Following each client’s detailed care instructions
• Bringing in mail or packages
• Adjusting lights, blinds, or trash/recycling when requested
• Administering medication when within your experience and comfort level

Most visits take place while clients are traveling, so weekend, holiday, morning, afternoon, and evening availability is especially valuable.

Service Types

• Drop-ins: 30 / 45 / 60 minutes (1–3x daily)
• Extended daytime visits: 2-8 hours
• Overnights: 10-hour stays
• 24-hour care: live-in with overnight care

Pay & Perks
