Job summary

The Comforted Kitty is seeking a part-time cat sitter to visit clients in their homes across Orange County. You will provide feeding, litter box care, playtime, and updates through our app, while following each client's care instructions.

This is a flexible, independent contractor role with weekend and holiday availability. Ideal candidates are experienced with cat care, reliable and punctual, with strong written communication and the ability to work independently in clients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home cat sitting visits per client instructions.
• Feed cats, refresh water, clean litter boxes, and give playtime.
• Send visit updates and photos through our app.
• Follow each client’s care instructions and report issues.
• Administer medications within your scope as needed.
• Occasionally collect mail, bring in packages, and adjust home settings as requested.

Part-Time Cat Sitter — Orange County, CA Area

Do you love cats and enjoy working independently? The Comforted Kitty is looking for reliable, responsible cat lovers to provide in-home cat sitting visits while clients are away.

This is a flexible, part-time independent contractor position where you set your availability and service area, and we match you with clients. It’s a great fit if you want meaningful, independent work caring for cats, helping pet parents travel with peace of mind, and building trust with repeat clients.

What You’ll Do

Cat sitting visits may include:

• Feeding cats and refreshing water
• Cleaning litter boxes
• Giving playtime, affection, orcompanionship based on each cat’s personality
• Sending visit updates and photos through our app
• Following each client’s detailed care instructions
• Bringing in mail or packages
• Adjusting lights, blinds, or trash/recycling when requested
• Administering medication when within your experience and comfort level

Most visits take place while clients are traveling, so weekend, holiday, morning, afternoon, and evening availability is especially valuable.

Service Types

• Drop-ins: 30 / 45 / 60 minutes (1–3x daily)
• Extended daytime visits: 2-8 hours
• Overnights: 10-hour stays
• 24-hour care: live-in with overnight care

Pay & Perks

• Sitters are paid per visit, with rates typically starting around $25per 30 minute visit, withhigher pay for longer visits, overnight care, house sitting.
