Job summary

Willamette Valley Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide CT and radiographic imaging overnight, with on-call support as needed. The current shift runs Thu/Fri/Sat from 7:00pm to 7:30am, with responsibilities including safety, positioning, and image quality assurance.

The role requires graduation from an ARRT/JRCERT/ARMRIT/NMTCB accredited program and active BLS-HCP certification, with ARRT/JRCERT/ARMRIT/NMTCB registry eligibility or certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine
  • BLS Health Care Provider certification and registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine

Responsibilities

  • Provides CT and radiologic services as ordered/directed
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports changes as appropriate
  • Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters
  • Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedures; analyzes results and addresses image quality issues

Job description

Schedule: Covers both CT and X-Ray overnight, with on-call support if needed. This shift is flexible, given that both night spots are open. Current shift is Th/F/Sat = 7:00pm - 7:30am.

Position Summary

Provides computerized assisted tomographic/radiologic services as ordered/directed, according to established practices and procedures.

  • When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.
  • Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
What We're Looking For
  • Education: Graduated from an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP), ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine Registry
