Responsibilities

Overview

Radiology Technologist - Full Time Nights

Pay: $29.25/hour - $42.32/hour

Department: RadiologySchedule: Full-Time, Nights

Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, processing and transmitting images through PACS, and delivering an exceptional patient experience throughout the imaging process. The Radiologic Technologist contributes to quality patient care, diagnostic accuracy, and efficient imaging department operations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Position patients and operate radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper identification throughout imaging procedures.
  • Process, review, and transmit images to PACS for interpretation and storage.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, accreditation requirements, and state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), and performance improvement (PI) initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient care.
  • Provide excellent customer service and patient support throughout the imaging experience.
Qualifications

Required

  • Current NJDEP Radiologic Technologist license.
  • ARRT (R) certification.
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing diagnostic imaging services.
  • Proficiency with PACS, radiology information systems, and healthcare technology.
  • Strong communication, patient care, and customer service skills.
Preferred
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Previous hospital, acute care, or diagnostic imaging experience.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
