Job summary

Havasu Regional Medical Center is seeking a Cat Scan Technician (CT) to join our radiology team. You will review orders, educate patients, and perform CT imaging with attention to safety and image quality.

Ideal candidates have an radiologic technology background, CT preceptorship, and ARRT credentials. This full‑time role includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program required.
• Advanced CT certification or CT preceptorship preferred.
• BLS within 30 days of hire is required.
• ARRT RT(R) or equivalent preceptorship credential required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician's order to guide imaging.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams.
• Prepare and administer contrast media within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
• Ensure safety standards and quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and report malfunctions.
• Enter and report scan results.

How You'll Contribute

A Cat Scan Technician (CT) who excels in this role:

• Review patient history and physician's order.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepares and administer contrast media and/or medication within scope of practice.
• Monitor patients' condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedure(s).
• Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
• Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should be a graduate of a Radiologic Technology program. Additional requirements include:

• Associate degree in radiologic technology preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
• American Registry Radiologic Technologist (AART) RT (R)(CT) or (ARRT) RT (R) in preceptorship.
• AZ MRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist or AZ MRT Computed Tomography Preceptorship or Temporary Computed Tomography Technologist.
• Previous hospital experience in CT is preferred.
