Munich Re Specialty - North America is seeking an Underwriting Analyst to support Casualty underwriting tasks, including submission intake, pricing, quoting, binding, and policy issuance. The role emphasizes data accuracy and collaboration with underwriters, actuarial, brokers and internal teams.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and 3+ years in underwriting support, strong Excel skills, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in related field.
• 3+ years insurance company experience with emphasis on analytic functions in underwriting support.
• Ability to work in an often fast-paced, client-centric environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and working knowledge of insurance policies.
• Intermediate to expert level computer skills - Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support new and renewal underwriting tasks for Casualty units by organizing submission information, pricing, quoting, and binding support to underwriters.
• Review, analyze and input financial and statistical information to provide timely service for quotes, policy and endorsement issuance, reinsurance booking, and documentation.
• Interpret data and set up accounts in appropriate systems with accuracy, collaborating with underwriters and actuarial teams.
• Support insurance policy and reinsurance binding, issuance, and service requirements.
• Coordinate with brokers and internal teams to support underwriting decisions and information requests.
• Recommend process improvements, tool enhancements, and testing of system changes.
• Mentor Underwriting Assistants and peers as necessary.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure data integrity and usability.
• Assist team members with projects as needed.
