The Austin office of Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons L.L.P. seeks an attorney with 2 to 7 years’ experience in civil litigation to join the Casualty section.

Candidates should have a working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure, excellent advocacy and writing skills, and excellent communication skills. The associate will defend casualty cases including wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, dram shop, trucking, construction litigation and other matters involving

Qualifications

• 2 to 7 years’ experience in civil litigation.
• Working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure.
• Excellent advocacy and writing skills.
• Texas Bar license required.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day litigation tasks with partner oversight.
• Meet with clients, report and investigate, manage discovery and motions.
• Take and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations and/or trials.
