Make your mark in Casualty Claims

This role involves handling sophisticated litigation and coverage issues, including long-tail bodily injury, property damage, Coverage B of Primary/Excess CGL policies, environmental, and toxic tort claims. You will manage emerging risks such as PFAS and opioids, and serve as a resource for Casualty adjusters, managers, and underwriters. You will be supported by a management team invested in achieving optimal outcomes and your professional success.

You will:

• Evaluate coverage on complex insurance products
• Hire and manage counsel for coverage evaluation and defense
• Assess damages with external experts
• Evaluate financial impacts to AIG and insureds
• Develop strategies for favorable claim resolutions and negotiate with insureds and third parties
• Advise business partners on exposures and product changes
• Guide claims and business leaders on emerging risks

What you’ll need to succeed

• 6+ years of experience in Legal, Insurance, Construction Defect, or Environmental fields (preferred)
• Ability to handle complex claims involving GL and Environmental coverage issues
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, negotiation, and investigative skills
• Veterans are encouraged to apply
