This is an excellent opportunity for a claims professional with experience managing complex liability claims, conducting thorough investigations, evaluating exposures, and negotiating settlements. The organization is particularly interested in candidates located in Los Angeles, CA, or Denver, CO, but will consider qualified professionals throughout the West Coast.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Manage an assigned inventory of General Liability claims from initial notice through final resolution.
• Investigate and evaluate bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Conduct liability investigations, assess coverage, determine liability, and evaluate potential exposure.
• Review medical records, incident reports, statements, photographs, and other supporting documentation.
• Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves based on exposure and anticipated outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other involved parties.
• Coordinate with defense counsel on litigated claims and monitor litigation strategy, expenses, and outcomes.
• Identify potential coverage issues and elevate complex matters when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate claim files and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal claims-handling guidelines.
• Deliver professional and timely communication to policyholders, brokers, attorneys, and other stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience handling General Liability insurance claims.
• Strong understanding of liability investigations, coverage analysis, and exposure evaluation.
• Experience handling bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Litigation management experience and the ability to work effectively with defense counsel.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to independently manage a claims inventory and prioritize competing responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
