Job summary

Shelter Insurance in Lexington, KY is seeking a Casualty Adjuster to investigate and settle liability and bodily injury claims. You will perform full liability and coverage investigations, assess losses and negotiate settlements within authority.

This role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and customer service skills, plus the ability to learn on the job and obtain multi-state licensing. A credit report and background check may be ordered.

• Determine validity of claims, verify coverage, establish value of losses and negotiate settlements within limits of authority, consistent with established procedures and legal and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate claims handling of multiple adjusters.
