Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional nursing care at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, Minnesota. The role includes providing work direction for unlicensed assistive personnel and supporting orders, procedures, and safe patient care.

Requirements include ADN or RN equivalence, MN RN license or WI RN and MN registry, BLS, NRP and STABLE within six months, L&D FHR course if no L&D experience, and at least 1 year of Women’s

• Current BLS certification (CPR/AED for professionals).

• FHR monitoring course if no L&D experience.
• Minimum 1 year RN Women’s Center/L&D experience.

Job description

As a Registered Nurse you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed assistive personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the practitioner orders; to assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, their family, health professionals and others; to perform related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing, or equivalent.
• Licensed as an RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry
• Registered nurses re-entering the nursing field, who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four (4) years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course to qualify for employment. Written information of certification validating successful completion of a refresher course must be provided before employment.
• Current BLS - American Heart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
• NRP certification required within 6 months of start date if not present at hire
• STABLE certification required within 6 months of start date if not present at hire
• Labor & Delivery-Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring Course Those without L&D experience: Completion of FHRM course within six (6) months of start date.
• Those with L&D experience: Will demonstrate accurate FHR monitoring during the orientation period.
• Minimum of 1 year (2080 hours) of RN Women's Center experience required. Labor & Delivery experience is required, with additional experience accepted in one or more of the following areas: Mother/Baby Special Care Nursery

Preferred Qualifications:

• Baccalaureate or Master's degree in Nursing
• Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
• Specialty Certification in the RN's area of expertise (e.g. CCRN, PCCN, CNOR, CPAN, CAPA, etc)
