Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking a Casual Pool Specialist for a part-time, on-call position in Pittsburgh, PA. You will support individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness in residential and day settings, providing assistance and training as needed.

You may create your own monthly schedule, with a requirement to work at least four shifts monthly, and you must be flexible to cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive company van/vehicle.
• Computer skills necessary.
• Pre-employment drug screening.
• Act 33,34, & 73 Clearances.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage monthly schedule, minimum 4 shifts per month.
• Provide assistance and training to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness on an as-needed basis.
• Be flexible with scheduled work hours to meet staffing requirements across programs.
• Remain available for unforeseeable emergencies and stay until relief arrives if needed.

The Casual Pool Specialist is an On Call/As Needed position which provides assistance and training to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or consumers with mental illness on an as needed basis in their residential and/or day setting. This position is designed to provide quality services as guided by Positive Practices and Person Centered Planning. This position is directly responsible to the Director. Expectation that the Casual Pool Specialist will be flexible with their scheduled work hours in order to meet minimum staffing requirements at all programs. In the event of unforeseeable emergencies, staff may be required to stay until relief arrives.
