Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking a Casual Pool Specialist to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our residential and day programs. This part-time, flexible, as-needed role lets you make a difference while choosing a schedule that fits your needs.

You will assist with daily living skills, promote independence, document progress, and collaborate with the team. Driving may be required, and prior caregiving experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Local travel and ability to drive an organization vehicle.
  • Act 33/34/73 Clearances, pre-employment drug screen, physical, and TB test required.
  • Complete Medication Training within 90 days of hire.

  • Support individuals with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, etc.).

  • Foster a positive, supportive environment.
  • Accurately document progress and observations.

Schedule

This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position

Consistent year-round availability is essential, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

  • Minimum of 4 shifts per month;
  • Flexible scheduling;
  • Option to pick up additional shifts
