Job summary

Osceola Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist/Laboratory Assistant for a casual, on-site role in Osceola, WI. The incumbent will act as a liaison between the laboratory and patients, performing venipuncture, specimen processing, data entry, and limited lab testing under supervision of the Laboratory Manager.

Responsibilities include ensuring proper specimen collection, labeling, and reporting results via LIS and telephone. CPR certification is required, and DOT certification may be needed.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Healthcare experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens by venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Process specimens and order laboratory testing.
• Perform waived and non-waived testing.
• Enter data and provide LIS results and phone communications.
• Maintain CPR certification; DOT certification may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
