Job summary

Osceola Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist/Laboratory Assistant on a casual basis to join the team in Osceola, WI. The role includes phlebotomy, specimen processing, data entry, and limited lab testing under supervision.

Responsibilities include collecting blood and non-blood specimens, labeling accurately, and providing results in LIS and via phone. CPR certification is required; DOT may be needed. Emphasis on teamwork and patient care.

Qualifications

• Prior healthcare experience or phlebotomy training preferred.
• Certificate in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant required or preferred.
• May be exposed to chemicals, cold, dust, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for proper specimen collection and handling, blood and non-blood specimens.
• Responsible for processing specimens and ordering laboratory testing.
• Responsible for testing specimens using waived and non-waived methods.
• Provide results in LIS and over the phone.
• Responsible for acquiring and maintaining CPR certification.
• DOT certification may be required.
• Other duties may be assigned.
