Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a motivated Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver) in North Liberty, IA. This casual/on-call part-time role involves delivering and returning Penske vehicles, including box trucks up to 26’, with CDL-B required and CDL-A preferred for heavier duties.

The position supports the service department and can offer 0–25 hours per week, with a typical Tuesday–Friday 7am–2pm schedule. DOT compliance and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of driving experience required.
• 2 years of a clean DMV motor vehicle record required.
• Valid Class B CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• CDL Class A license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while driving trucks to Penske locations or customer locations.
• Check vehicles for mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment; report issues.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles.
• Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
