Qualifications

• Title and rate of pay will be determined based upon individual qualifications, experience, and education.
• The minimum hourly starting rates for each level are listed: Care Attendant $18.19, Nursing Assistant $18.59, Patient Care Technician $18.99, Patient Care Technician Senior $19.19.
• These levels define expected responsibilities and growth opportunities within the unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN direction, including ADLs, vital signs, point-of-care testing, telemetry application, and specimen collection
• Assist with daily patient and unit needs (e.g., responding to call lights, meal delivery, patient transport, and basic activities)
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment, following infection control and safety protocols
• Monitor patients and report changes, concerns, or equipment malfunctions promptly
• Document care accurately and complete clerical duties as needed
• Support unit operations by obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to support coordinated care
• Demonstrate professionalism by building positive relationships, accepting feedback, and seeking opportunities for growth
• Respond to emergent situations and provide patient supervision or companionship as appropriate
