Job summary

Benedictine Living Community-Duluth is seeking a Casual Maintenance Technician to perform custodial, groundskeeping and general maintenance tasks to keep the facility, grounds and equipment safe and well‑maintained.

You will handle cleaning, floor care and minor repairs, operate tools and equipment, and support with outdoor duties. Shifts vary; prior health care experience and a valid driver's license are preferred or required as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a health care setting.
• Building and grounds maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs custodial tasks such as trash removal, cleaning windows/walls and light housekeeping.
• Performs floor care including cleaning, buffing, stripping and waxing.
• Assists with repairs and grounds maintenance, using basic tools and equipment.

Overview

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for a variety of general custodial, groundskeeping, and general maintenance tasks that assure the facility, grounds and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and attractive in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

Performs general custodial tasks including, but not limited to, removing trash, washing windows /walls, moving furniture and supplies and fill-in housekeeping duties if needed. Performs floor care such as cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning throughout the facility. Assists with building maintenance and construction work as needed on all surfaces, interior or exterior of facility. Assists with grounds maintenance, including but not limited to lawn care, snow removal. Assists with general repairs to facility and residents' equipment. Operates numerous hand and power tools, and may be required to use various machines, such as floor care, grounds-keeping, and maintenance equipment safely.

Qualifications
